Description
Catnip – Nepeta cataria has carminative, antispasmodic, diaphoretic, nervine and astringent properties. It is beneficial in treatment of indigestion, sleep disorders, stress relief, pain refief and stimulates the appetite.
Catnip is also useful as an insect repellent for mosquitos and flies, and can be used as a wound wash for minor cuts and scrapes. Catnip also makes excellent cat entertainment 😉
Catnip tea is made with 1 teaspoon dried leaves, add boiling water and let it brew for 3 – 5 minutes, remove the teabag or strain. Enjoy your tea.
